Advanced Placing & Routing with IPKISS

In this hands-on training, you will discover how to achieve simultaneous parametric control of both layout and simulation of photonic integrated circuits (PICs) using a scripting approach and the new intuitive IPKISS Circuit class. Learn how to tackle large and complex circuits with the same ease as small and simple ones.

To teach you about these Placement & Routing concepts, we will use an example based on an Optical Phased Array (OPA).

        2:10 - 2:30        Let's get everything set up!

        2:30 - 4:00        Hands-on training:
                                        1. OPA: defining its layout, visualizing it and simulating it
                                        2. Routing the OPA to the outside world (bondpads and fiber grating couplers)

        4:00 - 4:30        Q&A session
