Luceda Photonics and QoreTek Announce the Release of the First Luceda PDK for the FlowSiN™ Silicon Nitride Platform

Luceda Photonics and QoreTek are proud to announce the release of the first-ever Luceda PDK for QoreTek’s FlowSiN™ silicon nitride (Si₃N₄) platform, aiming to provide industrial and academic users with an efficient and accessible tape-out pathway. With this release, designers can now access QoreTek’s advanced FlowSiN™ technology directly through the Luceda Photonics Design Platform, unlocking efficient, accessible, and scalable design opportunities for silicon nitride photonic integrated circuits (PICs).

QoreTek’s FlowSiN™ platform is a validated ultra-low-loss Si₃N₄ process, developed to provide a mature and industrial-scale foundation for photonic integration. Supporting multi-thickness and multi-structure design solutions, FlowSiN™ has undergone extensive testing for process maturity, device performance, and data verification, providing Luceda’s customers with a stable and scalable path for both research and industrial applications.

The Luceda PDK for QoreTek integrates seamlessly with FlowSiN™ Express, QoreTek’s newly launched MPW shuttle service. Through a shared tape-out model, Luceda users can prototype and validate their Si₃N₄ circuits at lower cost and with shorter cycle time, accelerating product development and time-to-market.

This collaboration underscores the shared vision of Luceda and QoreTek to build an open and efficient photonics ecosystem, where advanced fabrication platforms and PIC design tools come together to empower innovation.
