Luceda Photonics has released the new IPKISS PDK for LioniX for LioniX's VIS and 1550nm platforms. The IPKISS PDK includes all LioniX building blocks for the visible range (VIS PDK) and for the C-band (1550nm PDK).
The new PDK will enable all Luceda's customers to design PICs using the IPKISS Photonics Design Platform, while accessing LioniX's prioprietary TriPleX® waveguide technology and their vertically integrated approach to fabrication, scalable to production volumes.
The 1550 nm MPW is suited for tele- and datacom applications, and it includes on-chip actuators and modulators, spot size converters for fiber coupling, and an optimized tunable laser as a pre-built building block. The visible light MPW is also ideal for other life science applications, including optical phased arrays (OPAs) and fluorescence microscopy. LioniX runs multiple MPWs every year, so keep an eye on the current schedule to send in your designs on time!
