With the new IPKISS Photonics Design Platform 3.5, Luceda Photonics is bringing to you the IPKISS AWG Designer. This IPKISS module offers an improved integrated design environment to create manufacturable and PDK-validated arrayed waveguide gratings (AWGs) with a press-of-the-button flow. But that’s not all! We have also added new IPKISS functions to help you and your team achieve error-free designs.
Meet the new IPKISS AWG Designer
The IPKISS AWG Designer module, previously known as 'Filter Toolbox - AWG Designer', brings a lot of new features to the IPKISS Photonics Design Platform, while allowing users to continue enjoying a seamless design experience.
Based on what we learned from our customers, we have significantly improved the methodologies to design AWGs. We support you throughout the entire journey of setting up a new AWG design project. We split it up into manageable pieces and offer expertise, assistance and control across all design stages, from system specifications to synthesis, simulation, visualization and finally generation of a DRC-clean layout GDS. The AWG Designer provides built-in AWG subcomponents to help you with this process, such as rectangular and S-shaped waveguide arrays. For maximum flexibility, you can customize each step of the process to suit specific requirements.
As with any other IPKISS design, you can reuse your final AWG within the IPKISS Photonics Design Platform and integrate it into a larger photonic integrated circuit (PIC).
We provide a robust yet flexible design flow to create AWGs, making it easier than ever to get started.
Did you say DRC-clean designs? We got you!
In addition to the major AWG Designer upgrade, we have added new IPKISS functionalities to support layout engineers in making DRC-clean designs. We have also improved our IPKISS-CAMFR integration to achieve more accurate simulations and allow you to easily explore your device design.
